Missing persons page

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as his or her location and fate are not known. Each year people disappear without a trace. Tens of millions of such cases have been reported worldwide.

A person may go missing due to accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons, including voluntary disappearance. A child may go missing for several different reasons such as child’s trafficking for sexual, commercial exploitation and killing for organs. Laws related to missing persons are often complex. In many countries families can make an official missing person inquiry to the Police after certain time passes up to 72 hours depending on county.

The situation of uncertainty and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting devastating effects on family and friends. There is no government, non–government or any other international organization including UN, Red Cross, which has exact figure of how many got missing each year.  Some websites and mainly Police give us just rough estimate: USA each year got missing around 800,000 people, UK-45,000; Canada about the same; Russia-120,000...

Many countries do not have even statistics for missing people. According to figures that I found at least 10,000000 people got missing each year worldwide.  More than 60% of them never come back home. These figures are devastating for families, relatives and friends. In such a case, a physical grave is not feasible as there is no body to bury.

We would like also to address the global problem of remembrance needs for tens of millions of missing people worldwide. In such a case, a physical grave is not feasible as there is no body to bury. This is where E-Memorio comes in and allows individuals to create memorial pages and virtual graves for their loved ones, who have gone missing.

We would like to collaborate with police forces from various nations governmental and non-governmental organizations such as the Red Cross, Natural Disaster Centers and agencies, in order to create a search engine for missing persons world-wide.

This would allow the public to join in the search for the missing person and provide the family of the missing person with the closure that their loved one’s picture/description is in the public’s eyes. In addition to this, in the event of disasters, a lot of those affected/involved in coordinating rescue would be visiting our page thus making the missing person more likely to be found.

Most of world countries do not have missing people webs, only developed ones.
